A lot has already been done in Luxembourg to make people of different sexual orientations and gender identities feel comfortable.
But even here, some people do still not feel comfortable.
People who think they have to hide for fear of losing their jobs; friends might turn away; the sports club could kick them out; the family could disown them. These people feel ashamed and are forced to hide because of the way they are, different. But being different is being beautiful.

Most of us do probably believe that here in Luxembourg, in 2020, we don’t have to deal with this fear anymore. Unfortunately, as in many other countries, this fear still lurks. Sometimes it is strongly present, and then again negligible.
Let us fight this fear together and break the silence. Let us show people that everyone is beautiful in their own way and deserves to be accepted.

Let us unite our voices and break the silence together!

We created a Facebook profile frame for IDAHOBIT, which recurs every year on May 17th. Feel free to use it on any occasion you like.

Last year we worked on a video that dealt with cliché questions, this one is still up to date and can be watched and shared liberately.

And there is waiting a tiny mission for you too. Maybe you’ve already asked yourselve of how you can break the silence, especially now in these extraordinary times of the Corona Virus.
It’s easy:
Either post a picture with the words “breaking the silence” and your favorite rainbow gadget with the #IDAHOBIT, #RLFA (Rosa Lëtzebuerg For Awarness), #breakingthesilence and/or #breakingthesilencelu or make a video and the break the silence by screaming, singing, laughing, greeting someone you love/like. Spread love!
